• TC - Perkins Assistance Application

  • Temple College receives funding from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board under the Carl D. Perkins Act, known as the Perkins Basic Grant. A portion of these funds is set aside to assist the Temple College Career and Technical Students with loaner textbooks, specific CTE Equipment, travel reimbursement for childcare help if funds are available.

  • 1. Must be enrolled in a career and technical certificate or degree program (AAS or Certificate Program). Assistance is only related to CTE classes; this funding cannot cover core classes or other classes outside the degree plan.

    2. Students receiving Pell Funds will be given priority.

  • Childcare Assistance

  • Childcare Assistance is only paid to licensed providers. Assistance can not be sent to family or non-licensed providers.

  • Have you applied for assistance for childcare through Workforce Solutions of Central Texas?

  • Transportation Reimbursement

    • Transportation reimbursement is available to those Perkins participants who live 30 or more miles from campus or who are traveling 30 or more miles one way for clinicals.
    • Travel reimbursement is prioritized if you are in a program that has clinicals or co-ops, and for students who continue to come to campus for required program-related activities, such as labs.

This permission is granted in order for me to be assisted as my eligibility will allow. I understand all other financial aid allows each student to receive their maximum allotment for his/her circumstances. I am aware all services received are contingent upon the AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS, AND my continued completion of the required components of my specific degree, and I have made sufficient progress toward my major with a 2.0 GPA or better. I understand that the information supplied is for the current grant year beginning September 1, and ending August 31, of each year.
